Southern Grove

Southern Grove is an approximately 0.59-hectare site located to the east of Southern Grove, close to Mile End. It comprises the vacant three-storey Southern Grove Lodge, dating from around 1872, a three- to five-storey former office building and temporary classroom units associated with Beatrice Tate School. The remaining land includes parking, servicing and access areas, soft landscaping, two protected trees and previously inaccessible land. The surrounding area is predominantly residential, with buildings ranging from three-storey Victorian homes to an 18-storey residential tower, alongside Beatrice Tate School and Southern Grove Community Centre.
